Camp Alexander

76 Years of Summer Scout Camp

Camp Alexander (Camp A) celebrated its 75th anniversary in 2021 and we are excited to open camp for another amazing season this next year. Camp Alexander is located in the Eleven Mile Canyon in the Pike National Forest approximately 45 miles west of Colorado Springs, and two miles (3 km) south of Lake George, in Park County, was donated in 1946 by J. Don Alexander of the Alexander Film Company.

While our history is impressive, we are most proud of our amazing camp program. With experiences available for your newest Scouts all the way up to your most advanced campers.

Camp Alexander is one of the best ways to experience Colorado, so book today!

We are a nationally accredited camp!

Camp Alexander is proud to be an accredited summer camp with the Boy Scouts of America’s National Camp Accreditation Program, or NCAP. This rigorous program establishes standards that must be met to provide exciting adventures while also mitigating risks. With this stamp of approval, you can rest easy knowing that our camp knows how to run camp right!

Outdoor Ethics

The Boy Scouts of America and Camp Alexander practice Leave No Trace by following the Outdoor Code:

As an American, I will do my best to –
Be clean in my outdoor manners.
Be careful with fire.
Be considerate in the outdoors.
Be conservation-minded.

We invite all who attend to become familiar with this code and prepare to live by it while at camp as well as all other times you are in the outdoors.
